Project background
– Aims to raise awareness of global issues and development cooperation among young people, teachers and the wider public,
– It aims to engage secondary school students, teachers and the public in discussions on these issues through simulation games, debates and educational activities,
– It aims to contribute to greater awareness and involvement of young people in global challenges, to contribute to the development of critical thinking and to increase the engagement of young people in the public sphere.
Main objectives
– Raising young people’s awareness of global issues: students will be introduced to different global issues through a simulation game and subsequent debates, thereby enhancing their ability to think critically.
– Teachers will be trained in the use of the simulation game as a global education tool, enabling them to integrate global issues into their teaching.
– Increase public awareness of global issues: Public debates with experts will enable the public to better understand global issues and development cooperation.
Key Activities
– Development of a simulation game and methodology: development of an educational simulation game focused on global issues and a methodology for teachers.
– Implementation of simulation games for students: Organisation of a series of simulation games for secondary school students, followed by debates.
– Teacher training: Teachers will be trained in the use of the simulation game and will be provided with methodological materials.
– Public debates with experts: Organisation of public debates in libraries on global challenges and development cooperation.
– Period of implementation: 1 July 2024 – 30 September 2025
