Accelerator in the fight against disinformation, implemented by VIA in cooperation with TechSoup Europe and supported by Google.org
Agora CE is part of the project Accelerator in the fight against disinformation, which is carried out by the VIA Association together with TechSoup Europe with the support of Google.org.
The project is aimed at increasing the resilience of non-profit organisations to the impact of disinformation. We have participated in workshops on countering disinformation and cybersecurity principles. We have developed a development plan that includes the development of a cybersecurity policy, digital audit, and site security audit. The plan also includes workshops on communication and positive narratives and the use of digital tools.
We have received a grant of 125,000 CZK from the programme, through which we can continue workshops on media literacy for seniors in libraries in 2024. It also includes the technical security of the websites and web applications that Agora operates.
In the spring and autumn of 2024 we organized 6 workshops “More Informed Senior” in smaller regional libraries in Česká Lípa, Děčín, Jilemnice, Jablonec nad Nisou, Turnov Český Dub.
The themes of the workshops were safer movement on the Internet and strengthening resistance against false information.
